What is your rate?

Depends on the project. My hourly rate is $75/hour. But a flat rate fee is often best for both of us, depending on the type and scope of work. We can decide this after our initial meeting.

Can you work with me long distance?

For the clarifying and planning stages this can work well. If it is a writing project, no problem. If there is more complex media production involved, I can help with mapping it out, but would probably recommend you assemble a team local to you for full production.

What if I’m not sure I want to work with you for the whole duration of my project? Can you just help me get started?

Absolutely. Wherever you are in your creation – a seed of an idea, a murky middle, or just in need of a little polish at the end – we can work together. It’s often best to approach a project together in stages, with concrete deliverables in each phase. Then, you can decide what serves you best for a next step.

Can you manage my social media accounts?

The best answer for this is, "I know people." While I'm happy to help with making a plan for how social media can best support your work, I'm not the person to manage your social media accounts day to day. But, depending on your needs, I can point you to someone.

Can you get my book published?

I'm not a literary agent, although I do know people in the industry. What I can do is help you clarify where to go with your work and create a strong proposal for you to send to agents and publishers. I can also brainstorm with you about alternative ways to get your work out there because traditional publishing is not always the only (or even best) route.

How long is the initial free meeting you offer?

Ah, that depends on the quality of the tea! Usually an hour(ish).
