Carolyn Eve Kanjuro has been a writer, director and creative collaborator for over 30 years. She is an author of several books and has worked in audio, video, interactive media, and live performance.

With a BFA in Experimental Theater from Tisch School of the Arts of NYU, she launched Golden Key Theater for a group of young performers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. For ten years she wrote and directed original plays for them while also working as Creative Director for Windhorse Productions, bringing projects from concept to delivery for clients and audiences in Canada and the USA. (For an overview of published works and clients, see here.)

In 2004 she became translator and wife to Kanjuro Shibata XX, Sensei, a 20th generation master of kyudo, the way of the bow. (You can read about his teachings on her blog Ten Years, One Step.) For the last decade of his life she accompanied him as he taught throughout North America and Europe and established Chrysanthemum Books for the creation of high quality, limited edition books.

She’s currently working on several book projects with Shambhala Publications and serves clients to help them bring their creative ideas to fruition. She also serves the Tibetan Literacy Project, a non-profit dedicated to empowering Tibetan children with higher education.
